Movie and Discussion: Groundhog Day (1993)
Oak Park Public Library
Small Meeting Room
834 Lake Street, Oak Park, IL 60301
Have you ever felt like you were living the same day over and over again?
The classic film Groundhog Day is an extreme (and hilarious) fantasy, serving as a powerful allegory for our own lives. It asks one of the most profound questions that lie at the heart of humanism: If your life was stripped down to a single, repeating day, how would you find meaning, purpose, and joy?
Join us for a screening of Groundhog Day followed by discussion. We will explore how this story might mirror our own search for a "good life" without relying on supernatural answers. We will serve popcorn and bottled water.
